Dialogue Poem

“Father Take Me From This Hell”

It is almost his time to go,

His breath is beginning to slow.

The pain is extremely excruciating

I don’t know why she is just waiting.

He has to go through on his own;

Thats the only way he will reach God’s home.

She is just waiting for me to die;

My last breath will be heard as a cry.

It is heart Breaking for me to see,

No one has lasted as long as he.

Death is more painful that life,

If only I knew who held the knife.

His body is cool and shivering,

If only I could stop the quivering.

Why can she not just end me here?

The end must be coming near.

I wish I could bring him home,

But God said he must go alone.

I am starting to see amazing things;

The angel is spreading her wings.

He is ready now that the blood has dried,

He has cried his last cry.

The pain has gone;

It will not be very long.

His life is now ending,

and his soul is descending.

I am free from my shell,

Now Father, take me from this Hell.
