Young Carly Mae and the Seven Sins



Young Carly Mae never learned how to obey what her parents would always try to say.


Young Carly Mae, her parents would say, don’t you ever take more than what you can make.


But Young Carly Mae would always take all of the bakery’s delicious cake.


Young Carly Mae, what have you done? You have been Greedy, and now you will pay. For every sin you perform under your parent’s chins, you will be closer to transforming into your evil little twin.


But Young Carly Mae never learned how to obey what her parents would always try to say.


Young Carly Mae, her parents would say, don’t you ever think your smile is more perfect than any other child's.  


But Young Carly Mae would always make fun of her friends’ smiles because she begun to pretend hers was better that her friends.


Young Carly Mae, what have you done? You have been Prideful, and now you will pay. For every sin you perform under your parent’s chins, you will be closer to transforming into your evil little twin.


But Young Carly Mae never learned how to obey what her parents would always try to say.


Young Carly Mae, her parents would say, don’t you ever eat enough food that could feed the entire street.


But Young Carly Mae would always consume everything that could possibly bloom.


Young Carly Mae, what have you done? You have been Gluttonous, and now you will pay. For every sin you perform under your parent’s chins, you will be closer to transforming into your evil little twin.


But Young Carly Mae never learned how to obey what her parents would always try to say.


Young Carly Mae, her parents would say, don’t you ever begrudge someone else's chocolate fudge.


But Young Carly Mae would always glare at the Boy Scout’s cookies and wish she was not a rookie.


Young Carly Mae, what have you done? You have been Envious, and now you will pay. For every sin you perform under your parent’s chins, you will be closer to transforming into your evil little twin.


But Young Carly Mae never learned how to obey what her parents would always try to say.


Young Carly Mae, her parents would say, don’t you ever kiss a boy just for joy.


But Young Carly Mae would always kiss any boy that exists.


Young Carly Mae, what have you done? You have been Lustful, and now you will pay. For every sin you perform under your parent’s chins, you will be closer to transforming into your evil little twin.


But Young Carly Mae never learned how to obey what her parents would always try to say.


Young Carly Mae, her parents would say, don’t you ever yell at any friendly fellows. 


But Young Carly Mae would always shout at the poor friendly scouts.


Young Carly Mae, what have you done? You have been Wrathful, and now you will pay. For every sin you perform under your parent’s chins, you will be closer to transforming into your evil little twin.


But Young Carly Mae never learned how to obey what her parents would always try to say.


Young Carly Mae, her parents would say, don’t you ever become lazy just like a dead daisy.


But Young Carly Mae would always lie down in the middle of town.


Young Carly Mae, what have you done? You have been Slothful, and now you will pay. For every sin you perform under your parent’s chins, you will be closer to transforming into your evil little twin.


But Young Carly Mae never learned how to obey what her parents would always try to say.


Young Carly Mae, it is time that you pay.  You have performed every sin under your parent’s chins and now you will transform into your evil little twin.


Young Carly Mae became Mean Chelsea Lee.  No one liked Mean Chelsea Lee, who never wanted to play.


Mean Chelsea Lee wanted to be Young Carly Mae again, and asked what to do.


Her parents said, “Mean Chelsea Lee learn how to obey what we always say.  Never perform any sin under our chins and you will transform into your nice little twin.”


Mean Chelsea Lee never performed any of the seven sins under her parent’s chins and transformed into Young Carly Mae.

Young Carly Mae promised to obey every word her parents would always try to say so she will never be Mean Chelsea Lee ever again.

  1. That was a really good short story!! Perfect way of explaining the 7 deadly sins to children. My brother is in Mrs. O'Neills second grade class just to let you know:)
